Job Title:
Corporate Communications Manager
Job Description:
The candidate will take ownership of public relations and social media activity related to the corporate brand and the chairman.
Key responsibilities:
Demonstrate a mastery of public relations principles, concepts, and methods.
Lead the corporate brand's editorial, content, and event efforts.
Develop, present, and implement an annual corporate communications action plan.
Devise and draft communication materials related to reputational issues.
Help build a social media strategy that ensures the corporate brand achieves communication goals while taking into consideration regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Create material such as corporate site content, key message talk sheets, media responses, etc., including author and/or translate press releases and media materials (fact sheets, media lists, media backgrounders).
Distribute press releases via a third party agency and/or subscription service (as approved).
Identify opportunities for contributed content and, where advisable, speaking engagements and corporate sponsorships.
Manage, with third party freelancers/vendors, social media accounts (corporate and chairman's), sourcing copywriting, translations and audiovisual content as required.
Coordinate regular photography of chairman for use in his and corporate social accounts.
Work with Corporate Social Responsibility team in Amman, Jordan to leverage group activity in traditional and social media.
Prepare plans/responses for crisis communication, compliance disclosure requests, and so on.
Monitor current events that may impact the corporate brand and/or chairman and prepare materials accordingly.
Manage media monitoring with the external service provider if required, including reviewing stories, preparing daily and weekly summaries and monitoring trends in mainstream and trade publications in the group's areas of interest.
Create, populate, and keep updated databases, distribution lists or other methods of engagement with external media sources.
Develop an internal communication plan to keep corporate and business units updated on group activities.
Coordinate press conferences and events on behalf of the chairman and/or Foundations.
Requirements:
At least five years of related experience with demonstrable public relations, event management (press conference), and social media supervision experience.
Bilingual: English and Arabic. Proficiency level: Fluent. Arabic written skills are preferred but not mandatory.
Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Must be able to exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other utility software experience required.
